Rushville Parks & Recreation Programs and Special Events
Pinterest in the Parks: Pinterest in the parks offers crafts for adults and children. This is one of the city’s newest programs that is being offered. Cost of programs varies upon the type of craft being offered for that specific event.
Mayor’s Annual 5k Run/Walk: This event is hosted on behalf of the Mayor of Rushville and all proceeds benefit different organizations and causes throughout the community. This event will be May 14th, 2016. For further information you can contact Rushville City Hall. (765) 932-3735.
Rushville Summer Camp in the Parks: This program is offered for one week in July. This camp offers both educational and recreational value for the campers.
Swimming Lessons: The Rushville Waggener Community Pool offers swim lessons for children of all ages. This Program is offered in July. Click here for More Information.
Rushville Parks Department Whiffle Ball Tournament: This event is geared for adults and teenagers. The Rushville Parks Department believes in getting our community out and active! More details on this new event will be forthcoming. We are looking to have this event in June 2016.
Sports Saturday:On one Saturday a month the Rushville Parks Department will host a sport inside the parks. This will be geared toward people of all ages. Examples of sports that will be played are Dodgeball, Kickball, Flag Football, Basketball and a Field Day. These programs will begin in May 2016.
Movie Night in the Parks: The Rushville Parks Department will be hosting movie nights in the Park. This will be the 2nd Season in which we will have this wonderful event for people of the community to come out and enjoy a movie under the stars.
